FanTribe Privacy Policy

FanTribe ("we," "us," "the app") is a second-screen social experience for football fans. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using FanTribe, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

• Account information: your email address, used to create your account and sign you in. We use a one-time code (OTP) sign-in; we do not store a password.
• Profile information: a username you choose, the national team you select, and an optional profile photo you upload.
• Content you create: posts, photos, comments, match-thread messages, photo "stories," score predictions, and Fan Meter votes.
• Usage activity: actions that earn points (posting, reacting, voting, predicting) so we can maintain leaderboards and badges.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the app: show your team hub, feeds, threads, matches, and leaderboards.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To display content you post to other users (see "Public Content" below).
• To calculate points, rankings, and badges.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising profiles.

Public Content

FanTribe is a social app. Content you choose to share — posts, photos, stories, comments, thread messages, your username, chosen team, profile photo, and your position on leaderboards — is visible to other users. Please do not share anything you wish to keep private.

How Your Information Is Stored

We use trusted third-party service providers to run FanTribe:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (your account, content, and uploaded images).
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — application hosting and content delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices. Photos and images you upload are stored on Supabase Storage.

Embedded Content (YouTube)

FanTribe may display official match-related videos using YouTube's embedded player. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may collect data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not control YouTube's data practices.

Children's Privacy

FanTribe is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices and Rights

• Edit your profile: change your username, team, or photo in the app at any time.
• Delete your content: you can delete your own posts.
• Delete your account: to delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process your request. (In-app account deletion is being added.)

Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. Photo "stories" automatically expire and are removed approximately 24 hours after posting. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information and content, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.

Security

We use access controls (row-level security) so that users can only modify their own content, and encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
